Sugar Fast
I am thankful you have accepted the challenge of the Flourish Sugar Fast.
You will more than likely lose weight in these 21 days, but that is not the primary purpose of this fast. We will use this time to remind ourselves that GOD is our source of comfort. We will “taste and see that the Lord is good” and that he satisfies completely.
This fast may bring to your attention the things you tell yourself about sugar and its importance to your sense of well-being. You can rely on the Holy Spirit to draw you into the authority given to you as a child of God.
Immediate gratification and its demands rob you of the fruit of self-control in your life. In any moment of struggle during these 21 days, you can declare Jesus, Lord, over your thoughts and over each choice.
After you complete the “lessons” in prep week, this resource will provide spiritual reflections published each day of the 21-day fast .
